Error E03 in Beko washing machines - water drainage problem
Error E03 in Beko washing machines signals the impossibility of draining water. When the machine fails to pump water from the drum within the set time, the electronics interrupt the program and the E03 code appears on the display. This is a protective function that prevents flooding and protects the pump and electronic components.
What does error E03 mean
Code E03 indicates that the appliance detects a blockage or restriction in the path of water from the drum to the sewer. The machine may try to pump the water several times, but if the obstacle is not removed, the electronics activates the protective mode.
Main reasons for the appearance of E03
Clogged drain pump - small objects such as coins, buttons, small pieces of clothing or fibers can block the impeller and prevent normal draining.
Clogged filter - the filter retains solid particles and protects the pump. If it gets clogged, water can’t get through.
Kinked or clogged hose – The drain hose can become kinked, pinched or clogged, restricting water flow.
Improper hose installation – A hose that is too high or angled can prevent effective draining.
Symptoms of error E03
Water remains in the drum after the end of the cycle
The program stops and the display shows the code E03
Sometimes there is a noise from the pump trying to drain the water
The machine does not proceed to the next phase of the program
What to check
Clean the filter and check for foreign objects
Check the outlet hose for kinks or blockages
Check the pump for blockages - if it is safe to do so
Make sure the hose is installed correctly and with the appropriate slope
When is service required
If after cleaning the filter and checking the hose, the error E03 continues to appear, the problem is probably in the pump or the electronic drain control. In this case, professional diagnostics and possible replacement of damaged components are required.
Prevention of error E03
Clean the filter regularly
Check the pockets of the clothes before washing
Check the outlet hose and place it with the correct slope
Do not overload the drum.
